For us at Endúr AAK, access techniques are an important tool in reaching the work site. AAK was involved in developing access technology in the late 1980s, and trained the first Norwegian access technicians to work on the Norwegian continental shelf. We are constantly developing new tools to ensure safe and cost-effective access methods. Our access technicians are certified according to NS-9600 and cover the vast majority of professional disciplines.
We have a number of methods for effective and safe access, as well as to ensure a good working position during professional execution. This provides increased efficiency, increased precision and improved ergonomics.
Endur AAK has been providing services to the wind power industry since 2009. As with a wind turbine, large parts of a hydroelectric power station are rarely available for maintenance, and then only available for short periods. We understand our customers' need for cost-effective and secure methods of access and choice of solution, and have developed several methods for inspecting pressure shafts and equipment. Here at AAK, installation planning is a separate field which in professional terms is situated at the interface between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. Access technicians are often involved in lifting operations, as work will generally be required at height in connection with lifting. Rigging is part of the basic competence of all our access technicians and mechanics. Our riggers are certified in accordance with O3.2 and naturally they also hold a banksman and slinger certificate (G11 / O1.1 + O2.2). In addition, our engineers have extensive practical experience in access and rigging which ensures the best possible planning of complex lifting operations. Demolition projects are characterized by a continuously changing workplace and environment as components and equipment are removed. It is therefore often more appropriate to use, for example, access techniques rather than scaffolding. We have methods and procedures that allow hot work such as flame cutting and welding in combination with access techniques. We have participated in a number of demolition missions on the Norwegian continental shelf since the initial installation was removed at the Ekofisk Field Centre and the Frigg field was removed in 2006/2007.
Through many years of concrete rehabilitation offshore, we have developed methods for breaking up/removing old concrete, as well as developing new methods for applying mortar. Our current methods are based on the use of UHP water-jetting and dry mortar.
We also have smart and efficient solutions to ensure personnel access to vertical surfaces, and we use a proprietary mobile work platform - “Travo” - to ensure access.
Endúr AAK's concrete rehabilitation services are performed by personnel certified in accordance with NS-EN 1504-9 and NS9600.
It is a fact that much of the equipment on an offshore facility is either improperly assembled or not designed for a long life at sea. Prevention of dropped objects is carried out regularly at all offshore installations in order to reveal conditions that may pose an immediate or future risk.
AAK conducts Dropped object inspection inspection by multidisciplinary personnel, focusing on rectifying faults, deficiencies and deviations on an ongoing basis while the inspection team is on site. This reduces the need for further follow-up by equipment owners, and provides a cost-effective use of time and resources. The inspection is documented with pictures, location, action and relevant references. Findings that cannot be improved on site are given recommended action and prioritization based on severity.
AAK quality assures Dropped object inspection personnel based on an educational ladder with three levels of competence, where requirements for formal competence, logged experience within Dropped object inspection and internal courses form the basis for approval at each level.

Endúr AAK are certified as an expert company in the RX categories - all types of Lifting tools, G7 (winches/spindles/tackles) and G10 (hand operated cranes). We carry out inspection and certification as an impartial third party and on our own equipment. Rigging and slinging is a core area for AAK and as an expert company and EPCI supplier we can plan, carry out structure analyses, certify and perform complex lifting operations using temporary lifting suspension where necessary. We use a database, ONIX, where all equipment that is controlled is registered with associated documentation. When controlling lifting equipment for customers, access to this database is provided so that equipment can be easily searched and necessary documentation such as control cards and certificates can be downloaded. When purchasing new equipment, this will be easily transferred to the database as it has been used by several of the largest suppliers of lifting equipment. Endúr AAK is certified in class S1.
